Kilomathon Scotland 2026

Kilomathon offers something a little bit different to your usual running event. There are loads of 5Ks and 10Ks out there, but why not try something to push you out of your comfort zone? Organised by MyRunning, Kilomathon Scotland offers you a choice of two distances:

13.1 km

Looking for a little bit more than a 10K? This is the perfect race distance, and also a great training run for a full or half-marathon.

Beginning just outside Ocean Terminal Shopping Centre, the route starts by passing by the historic Royal Yacht Britannia then runs along Edinburgh’s tranquil cycle paths and the picturesque Victoria Park, before a breath-taking finish in front of the West Stand in Murrayfield Stadium.

6.5 km

Got a few 5K's under your belt but want to challenge yourself a little bit more? Try the 6.5K Kilomathon, also a great training run for a 10K.

Beginning on South Trinity Road Cycle path just off Ferry Road. The route joins in with the 13.1K runners as they run along Edinburgh’s tranquil cycle paths, before a breath-taking finish in front of the West Stand in Murrayfield Stadium.

JustGiving

Once you've registered it's time to set-up your JustGiving page at www.justgiving.com/universityofedinburgh - set an ambitious fundraising target and use ‘your story’ to tell your donors why you are raising money. Add your photo to your JustGiving page, so your supporters know they’re at the right page!

Please click to opt-in to receive communications from your chosen charity (that’s us) when you set up your Just Giving page. This will allow us to provide advice and support for your fundraising activity, let you know how your donation is helping, and invite you to events.

When creating your page, JustGiving will automatically generate a unique URL – it’s worthwhile changing this to something easier to remember. We can create a QR code for your page that you can use to promote your fundraising.

As well as our generic JustGiving, we also have some area specific JustGiving pages, visit our 'Getting Started' page for more information, or get in touch.

Whatever running event you chose to take part in, please make sure it is appropriate for your level of fitness. As well as being a challenge, it should also be doable and fun!
